Getting Started Building a Post WordPress Setup Squarespace Publishing Troubleshooting SEO Features Help

Step 1 — Create Your Account

Creating a Vowrio account takes about two minutes. Here is exactly what to do:

  1. Go to vowrio.com and click the "Get Started" button at the top of the page.
  2. You will land on the Vowrio app page. Click the "Create Account" tab at the top of the white box.
  3. Type in your email address — this is the email you will use to log in every time.
  4. Choose a password. It needs to be at least 8 characters long. Something memorable but not too simple — avoid "password123"!
  5. Click "Create Account."
  6. Check your email inbox for a confirmation message from Vowrio. Open it and click the confirmation link inside.
  7. Come back to vowrio.com/app and sign in with your email and password.
  8. You will see a screen asking you to subscribe. Click "Subscribe — $29/month."
  9. You will be taken to a secure Stripe checkout page. Enter your credit card details. This is the same Stripe system used by millions of companies worldwide — your card details are completely safe.
  10. After paying, you will be redirected back to Vowrio and your account will activate automatically within a few seconds.
  11. You are in! You should now see the full Vowrio app with the 6-step form.
Already have an account? Just go to vowrio.com/app and sign in. If you forgot your password, click "Forgot Password" and we will email you a reset link.

Step 2 — Building Your First Blog Post

Once you are signed in, you will see a form with 6 steps across the top. Work through them from left to right. Here is exactly what to put in each one.

Step 1 of 6 — Studio Info

This is where you tell Vowrio about your business. You only need to fill this in once — it saves automatically for future posts.

Studio / Business Name

Type your photography or videography business name exactly as you want it to appear on your blog posts.
Example: Emily Rose Photography

Your Name / Author

Type your first and last name. This appears as the author of the post.
Example: Emily Rose

Website URL

Type your full website address, starting with https://
Example: https://www.emilyrosephotography.com
Why it matters: Vowrio uses this to build the correct web address (URL) for your blog post so Google can find it.

Instagram Handle

Type your Instagram username with the @ symbol.
Example: @emilyrosephoto
This is optional but helps with social media sharing.

WordPress Site URL (optional)

If your blog is on WordPress or Showit, type your website address here.
Example: https://www.emilyrosephotography.com
Leave this blank if you use Squarespace or plan to download and publish manually.

Vowrio API Key (optional — WordPress/Showit only)

This is a special code that connects Vowrio directly to your WordPress website so you can publish with one click. See the WordPress Setup section to learn how to get it. Leave this blank for now if you are just getting started.

Download Vowrio Plugin button

If you use WordPress or Showit, click this button to download the plugin file you will need. See the WordPress Setup section below.

Test Connection button

After entering your WordPress URL and API key, click this button to make sure everything is connected correctly. You should see a green checkmark. If you see an error, see the Troubleshooting section.

Step 2 of 6 — Wedding Details

This is where you tell Vowrio who got married, when, and where.

Partner 1 and Partner 2 Names

Type the first and last names of both people who got married.
Example: Olivia Johnson and Noah Williams

Wedding Date

Click the date field and select the wedding date from the calendar that appears.

Venue Name

This is the most important SEO field in the whole form. Type the full, official name of the wedding venue exactly as it appears on their website.
Example: The Hermitage Hotel

Why the venue name matters so much: When you type the venue name here, Vowrio makes sure Google connects your post to that venue. When couples search "Hermitage Hotel wedding photographer Nashville," your post has a real chance of showing up.
Venue Website

Type the venue's website address. This helps Google understand that your post is genuinely about this specific place.
Example: https://www.thehermitagehotel.com

City and State

Type the city and state where the wedding took place.
Example: Nashville and TN

Ceremony Location

If the ceremony was at a different location than the reception, type it here. If everything was in one place, leave this blank.
Example: Cathedral of the Incarnation

Reception Location

If the reception was in a specific room or at a different venue, type it here. If everything was in one place, leave this blank.
Example: The Capitol Grille Ballroom

Step 3 of 6 — Vendor Team

Type the name of every vendor who worked at this wedding. You do not need to fill in every field — just the ones that apply.

Why this matters: Every vendor you mention gets a warm shoutout in your blog post. This builds relationships with other vendors who may return the favor by recommending you to their clients. It also gives your post more rich, specific content that Google loves.

Go through the list and type the business name (or the person's name) for each vendor you worked with: Photographer, Videographer, Florist, Caterer, DJ / Band, Cake Designer, Hair & Makeup, Bridal Boutique, Officiant, Wedding Planner, Transportation, Lighting / Draping, Photo Booth, Stationery, Jewelry, Suit / Tuxedo.

Example: For florist you might type Blooms by Belle or Sarah's Flowers Nashville

Step 4 of 6 — The Love Story

This is the heart of your post. The more detail you share here, the more personal and emotional your blog post will be.

Do not worry about writing perfectly. Just write like you are texting a friend about the wedding. Vowrio will turn your rough notes into beautiful writing.
How Did They Meet?

Write a few sentences about how the couple got together. Where were they? How long ago? Was it a funny story?
Example: "They met at a rooftop bar in Nashville in 2021. Noah kept stealing glances at Olivia all evening until she finally walked over and introduced herself. They talked until the bar closed."

The Proposal

How did he or she propose? Was it a surprise? Where did it happen?
Example: "Noah proposed at sunset on Radnor Lake with her grandmother's ring. Olivia had no idea — she thought they were just going for a walk."

Ceremony Style & Vibe

Describe the ceremony. Outdoors or indoors? Formal or relaxed? How many guests? Any special readings or traditions?
Example: "An intimate indoor ceremony in The Hermitage ballroom with 120 guests. Very emotional — both sets of parents were in tears. They wrote their own vows."

Reception Energy & Highlights

What happened at the reception? First dance song? Memorable toasts? Funny or touching moments?
Example: "The dance floor was packed from the first song. Father-daughter dance to Landslide had everyone crying. Sparkler exit at 10pm."

Special Moments That Made You Stop

What moments made you catch your breath as a photographer?
Example: "The golden light hitting Olivia's dress during portraits at 5pm was extraordinary. Noah's face at the first look — I have never seen anything like it."

Personal Message to the Couple

Write a short note directly to the couple. This appears at the end of the post as a love letter.
Example: "Olivia and Noah, it was the greatest honor to be with you on this day. The way you look at each other — that is the kind of love that lasts forever."

Anything Else?

Color palette, dress designer, cultural traditions, funny moments, anything extra.
Example: "Dusty rose, sage and champagne palette. Dress was Vera Wang. The groom's grandmother flew in from Ireland as a surprise."

Step 5 of 6 — SEO Settings & Media

Primary Target Keyword

This is the single most important SEO field. Think about what a couple would type into Google if they were looking for a photographer for this specific venue. That is your keyword.

How to choose: Think [venue name] wedding photographer [city]
Example: Hermitage Hotel wedding photographer Nashville

URL Slug

This is the web address of your blog post. Vowrio will generate one automatically, so you can leave this blank. If you want a custom one, use lowercase letters and hyphens only.
Example: olivia-noah-hermitage-hotel-wedding-nashville

Additional Keywords

Type any other search phrases you want to target, separated by commas.
Example: Nashville wedding photographer, Tennessee wedding videographer, Hermitage Hotel wedding photos

Blog Folder Path

This tells Vowrio where your blog lives on your website. Just type the folder name.
Example: if your blog is at yoursite.com/journal — type: journal

Wedding Film

If you have a wedding film, paste the YouTube or Vimeo link here. It will be embedded at the top of your blog post automatically. Leave blank if there is no film.
Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abc123

Uploading Your Photos

Click the photo upload area or drag and drop your photos directly onto it.

Tips for choosing photos: Include a variety — getting ready, ceremony, portraits, reception, details. Even 15-20 photos make a great post. You do not need all 100.

Step 6 of 6 — Generate & Publish

You have made it to the final step! Here is what happens:

  1. Click the "Generate Blog Post" button.
  2. Vowrio will start writing your post. This takes about 30 to 60 seconds. You will see a spinning circle — this is normal, please wait.
  3. If you uploaded photos, Vowrio will also write a unique description for every photo. This takes a little longer with many photos.
  4. When done, you will see a preview — the title, meta description, keywords, and full post text.
  5. Read through it. If you want a different version, click "Regenerate" — Vowrio will write a fresh version.
  6. When you are happy, choose how to publish (see the Publishing section below).

Connecting Vowrio to WordPress or Showit

If your blog is on WordPress or Showit, Vowrio can publish your post directly — including all your photos — with one click. You never have to download anything or copy and paste. To make this work, you need to install a small free plugin called Vowrio Connect. Here is exactly how to do it. You only do this once.

What is a plugin?

A plugin is a small add-on that gives your WordPress website new abilities. Think of it like installing an app on your phone. You find it, install it, and it works. The Vowrio Connect plugin gives your website the ability to receive posts from Vowrio automatically.

Step 1 — Download the Vowrio Connect plugin

  1. Go to vowrio.com/app and sign in
  2. Click through to Step 1 (Studio Info)
  3. Find the button that says "Download Vowrio Plugin" — it is below the WordPress fields
  4. Click it. A file called vowrio-connect.zip will download to your computer
  5. Do not open or unzip this file. Leave it exactly as it is in your Downloads folder

Step 2 — Log into your WordPress dashboard

  1. Open a new browser tab
  2. Type your website address followed by /wp-admin in the address bar
Example: if your website is emilyrosephotography.com, go to emilyrosephotography.com/wp-admin
  3. Type your WordPress username and password and click Log In
  4. You are now in your WordPress dashboard — this is the behind-the-scenes control panel for your website

Step 3 — Install the plugin

  1. Look at the menu on the left side of the screen
  2. Find "Plugins" and click on it
  3. At the top of the page, click "Add New" (or "Add New Plugin")
  4. Near the top, look for "Upload Plugin" — click it
  5. Click "Choose File" (or "Browse")
  6. A file browser will open — navigate to your Downloads folder
  7. Find vowrio-connect.zip and select it
  8. Click "Install Now"
  9. Wait about 10 seconds while WordPress installs the plugin
  10. Click "Activate Plugin"

Step 4 — Copy your API key

  1. After activating, look at the left menu again
  2. Click on "Settings" — a sub-menu will appear
  3. Click on "Vowrio Connect"
  4. You will see a page with a box containing a long code — this is your personal API key
  5. Click the blue "Copy Key" button (or click inside the box, press Cmd+A to select all, then Cmd+C to copy)
  6. Paste it somewhere safe for safekeeping (Notes, a document, etc.)

Step 5 — Paste your key into Vowrio and test

  1. Go back to vowrio.com/app
  2. In Step 1 (Studio Info), find "WordPress Site URL" and type your website address
    Example: https://emilyrosephotography.com
  3. Find "Vowrio API Key" and paste your key (Cmd+V)
  4. Click the "Test Connection" button
  5. If you see a green message saying "Connected to [your site name]" — you are done!
  6. If you see a red error — see the Troubleshooting section below
Showit users: Showit blogs run on WordPress behind the scenes. Follow the exact same steps above. When it asks for your WordPress URL, use your Showit blog address. Your Showit WordPress login works the same way.

Publishing to Squarespace

Squarespace does not allow outside tools to publish directly, so this process has two parts: first you paste your post text, then you add photos manually. It takes about 5-10 extra minutes but is very straightforward.

Step 1 — Copy your post from Vowrio

  1. Generate your post in Vowrio (complete all 6 steps and click Generate)
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of Step 6
  3. Click "Copy for Squarespace"
  4. A small message will confirm your post has been copied

Step 2 — Create a new blog post in Squarespace

  1. Open a new tab and log into your Squarespace account
  2. In the left menu, click "Pages"
  3. Find your Blog page and click on it
  4. Click "+" or "New Post"

Step 3 — Add your title

  1. Click where it says "Title" at the top
  2. Type your post title (you can find the suggested title in Vowrio's preview, labeled "Title")

Step 4 — Paste your post content

  1. Click inside the post body area
  2. Click the "+" button to add a new block
  3. Choose "Code" from the block options
  4. Click inside the code block
  5. Press Cmd+V (Mac) or Ctrl+V (Windows) to paste
  6. Click outside the block — your text, headings, and vendor credits will appear formatted
No Code block option? Your Squarespace plan may not include it. Try a Text block instead — the formatting may not be perfect but the content will be there.

Step 5 — Add your photos

  1. Click the "+" button again to add a new block
  2. Choose "Image"
  3. Click "Add Image" and select a photo from your computer
  4. Repeat for each photo — add one Image block per photo
  5. You can drag blocks to reorder them
Tip: Add your best photo right at the top, between the title and the first text block — this becomes your hero image.

Step 6 — Add alt text to your photos

  1. Click on a photo block
  2. Click the pencil/edit icon
  3. Find the "Alt Text" field
  4. Type a description — example: Olivia and Noah ceremony at The Hermitage Hotel Nashville Tennessee
  5. Vowrio already wrote perfect alt text for each photo — find them by opening your downloaded HTML file and searching for alt=
  6. Repeat for every photo

Step 7 — Set your SEO details

  1. Click the gear icon or "Post Settings" (usually top right)
  2. Find the "SEO" tab
  3. Paste your title into "SEO Title"
  4. Paste your meta description into "SEO Description"
  5. Type a clean URL in the "URL Slug" field
    Example: olivia-noah-hermitage-hotel-wedding-nashville

Step 8 — Publish

  1. Click "Save" then "Publish"
  2. Your post is now live and Google can find it!

How to Publish Your Post

Option 1 — Publish directly to WordPress or Showit (easiest)

Once you have the Vowrio Connect plugin installed and tested (see WordPress Setup):

  1. Generate your post in Vowrio
  2. Review the preview
  3. Click "Publish to WordPress / Showit"
  4. Watch the progress — Vowrio uploads each photo and creates the post
  5. When finished, your post automatically opens in a new browser tab
  6. That is it! Your post is live with all photos, all SEO, everything.

Option 2 — Copy and paste to Squarespace

See the full Squarespace section above for step-by-step instructions.

Option 3 — Download the HTML file (works with any website)

  1. Click "Download HTML Post"
  2. A file ending in .html will download — it contains your complete blog post with all photos, SEO code, and styles
  3. Upload it to your website's blog folder using your website's file manager or FTP
  4. Or open the file in a text editor, copy the content between the <body> tags, and paste into your CMS

  1. Check your URL starts with https:// (not http://)
  2. It should be just your main website address — no /wp-admin, no /blog at the end
  3. If correct and still failing, your website may have a firewall — see below
"Publishing fails — Sucuri Firewall"
  1. Log into sucuri.net
  2. Click Firewall → Access Control → Allow URL Paths
  3. Type /wp-json/vowrio/ and click Allow
  4. Try publishing again

Contact WP Engine or Flywheel support and ask them to: "Enable Basic Authentication for the WordPress REST API on my site." They can do this in a few minutes.
"My post published but photos are missing"
  1. Go to WordPress → Media — your photos may be there but not attached to the post
  2. Open the post in the WordPress editor and add photos from the Media Library
  3. If no photos appear, email support@vowrio.com with your site URL
"Generation failed — it just shows an error"

  2. Try again — sometimes the AI service has a brief hiccup
  3. If it fails three times, try logging out and back in
  4. If still failing, email support@vowrio.com
"The generated post does not mention something important"
Click Regenerate — Vowrio will write a completely fresh version. Each version is different. Add more detail to the relevant field (especially Step 4) before regenerating.
"My photos are not appearing after I uploaded them"
  1. Make sure you are using JPEG, PNG, or WEBP files
  2. Try uploading fewer photos at once
  3. Refresh the page and try again
"My permalinks are set to Plain"
WordPress needs Pretty Permalinks for Vowrio to work.
  1. Go to your WordPress dashboard
  2. Left sidebar → Settings → Permalinks
  3. Select "Post name" (recommended)
  4. Click Save Changes
  5. Try connecting again in Vowrio
"I installed the plugin but the settings page shows a warning"
The plugin detected a potential connection issue. The most common fixes are:
  1. Sucuri users: Go to sucuri.net → Firewall → Access Control → Allow URL Paths → add: /wp-json/vowrio/
  2. SiteGround users: The plugin v1.1 automatically fixes this on installation
  3. Other hosts: Contact your host and ask them to allow REST API access

What SEO Does Vowrio Do For You?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization — it is everything you do to help Google find and rank your website. Every post Vowrio creates includes all of the following automatically. You do not need to understand any of it — Vowrio handles it all behind the scenes.

Title TagThis is the clickable headline that appears in Google search results. Vowrio writes it to include your venue name and keyword so couples find you when searching.
Meta DescriptionThe short description under your title in Google. Vowrio writes a compelling 160-character summary that makes couples want to click on your post.
Keywords Meta TagA hidden list of 20 search terms your post targets, including variations like "wedding photographer" and "wedding videographer" for the same venue.
Canonical URLTells Google this is the original source of the content and prevents duplicate content penalties if your post gets shared or reshared.
Open Graph Tags (10 tags)When someone shares your post on Facebook or Instagram, these tags control exactly what image, title and description appear. Vowrio includes all 10 for a professional-looking share preview.
Twitter Card Tags (6 tags)Same as Open Graph but for Twitter/X. Makes your post look great when shared on Twitter with a large preview image.
JSON-LD BlogPosting SchemaHidden code that tells Google this is a blog post, who wrote it, when it was published, and what it is about. Google uses this for rich search results.
JSON-LD Event SchemaTells Google the wedding was a real event at a specific location on a specific date. This helps your post appear in location-based searches.
JSON-LD LocalBusiness SchemaMarks the venue as a real local business with an address. Helps your post appear when couples search for venues and photographers together.
JSON-LD BreadcrumbList SchemaShows Google the structure of your website (Home > Blog > This Post) which can display as breadcrumbs in search results, making your listing look more professional.
H1 / H2 / H3 Heading HierarchyGoogle reads headings to understand what your post is about. Vowrio structures all headings correctly with the most important keywords in the right places.
Unique Alt Text on Every PhotoEvery single photo gets its own unique description that includes your couple's names, venue, and keywords. Google cannot see images — it reads the alt text to understand what they show.
Lazy Loading ImagesPhotos only load when someone scrolls to them, making your page load faster. Google ranks faster pages higher.
Keyword in First 100 WordsGoogle pays extra attention to words near the top of a page. Vowrio makes sure your target keyword appears in the very first paragraph.
Minimum 1,500 WordsGoogle strongly prefers in-depth content. Longer posts that cover a topic thoroughly consistently rank higher than short posts.
Venue Name in Every SectionYour venue name appears naturally throughout the post — not just once. This tells Google your post is genuinely about this specific venue.
SEO-Optimized URL SlugThe web address of your post (example: /blog/emily-james-driskill-hotel-wedding-austin) is written to include the couple, venue, and city for maximum search visibility.
Geographic Meta TagsHidden tags that tell Google exactly where the wedding took place, helping your post appear in location-specific searches.
Semantic HTML StructureThe post uses proper HTML article, header, main, and footer tags that help Google understand the structure and importance of each part of your content.
FAQ SectionA set of questions and answers that couples actually search for — like "Is [venue] good for weddings?" These often appear as featured snippets at the very top of Google results.
Call-to-Action BlockA clear invitation for couples to contact you. Important for converting readers into clients, not just for SEO.
Vendor CreditsMentioning your vendors by name creates opportunities for them to link back to your post, which increases your Google authority over time.
